How To Get Started
Step 1:
Free Phone Consultation
The first step is to contact me for a free phone consultation! During our consultation you will be able to let me know what you are looking for, ask questions, learn what to expect, and begin the process of determining if we would be a good fit to work together. If after this consultation we are both comfortable moving forward, we will proceed to the next step.
Step 2:
Determine Your Benefits
Next, it is good to know what your financial responsibility might be when working with a therapist. For those that will be using insurance, I accept the following options:
All Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO plans
All Aetna PPO plans
All Cigna PPO plans
Navigating insurance can be difficult. Prior to our first session, I will do the leg work to contact your insurance and confirm your benefits, learn what your deductible or copay might be, and gather any other relevant information regarding your benefits for therapy services. I will then review this information with you to help you make an informed decision regarding whether you want to proceed with therapy.
If you are planning on paying for sessions completely out of pocket, the first session will be $200. Subsequent sessions will be $180.
If you are seeking clinical consultation, each session will be $180. If you are a student or working towards your LCPC, I offer a discounted rate of $100.
When paying for services, I accept the methods of payment listed below:
Credit / Debit
Health Savings Account
Zelle
Step 3:
Schedule Your First Session!
Once we schedule your first session, you will be sent access to a client portal where you can complete intake paperwork online. It is best to complete this paperwork prior to the first session. But don’t worry, it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
A typical therapy session will be about 50 minutes. Treatment is individualized based on your particular needs and what you are seeking to get out of therapy.
Payment
Unless other arrangements are made and agreed upon, payment is expected at the time of session (either immediately before or after the session).
Cancellation Policy
I ask that when needing to cancel a session, you provide 24-hours notice. Of course, emergencies happen and this may not always be possible. I do offer some flexibility regarding late cancelations. However, if late cancelations become frequent, I will have a conversation with you to try and understand how to best support you. That might include considering alternative time slots, or attempting to reschedule your appointment for a different time that week rather than canceling. After this conversation, should late cancelations remain an issue, you will be charged the full rate for the missed session.
